Marianne Eichenlaub Kauffman (27 Dec 1833 – 21 Sep 1903) was one of the most amazing beer baronesses. After her husband died, she fended off debtors, saving the Kauffman Brewery from bankruptcy and made it thrive under her ownership as she sought new methods of refrigeration, one of the very first in the world to adopt it.
