Agnes Pitman (1850 – 25 Jan 1946) was born in England and emigrated as a child. She spearheaded the programs at McMicken with her father Benn. While Benn designed much of the Pitman work, Agnes executed the woodcarving, having mastered the craft. She worked closely with Benn and her step-mother Adelaide Nourse. She worked until she died in 1946 at the age of 95.
